Getting started: how to use
Easy File Converter turns your photos, videos and other files into the form you need. You don't need to know any difficult words. It works in 3 steps.
3 simple steps
Tap the dotted box and choose the photos or videos you want to change. On a computer, you can also drag files into the box. You can add as many as you like at once.
Each format tells you what it is good for, like "send in a chat" or "hand in at school". If you're not sure, pick the one marked "Not sure? Pick this".
Press the big "Convert" button, then "Save" when it's done. Videos can take a while, but the time left is shown on screen.
It's OK if you don't know the format
The letters at the end of a file name, like ".jpg", ".heic" or ".mov", are called the "file extension". You don't need to understand them. The tool looks inside the file you add and tells you, for example, "This is a photo taken on an iPhone".

Where do saved files go?
On phones, saved files usually go to the "Downloads" folder, not the Photos app.
Open the Files app, then Browse → Downloads. To put a photo or video into the Photos app, open it, tap the share button, then "Save Image" or "Save Video".

If nothing happens when you press "Save", you may have opened this page inside an app such as LINE or Instagram. Choose "Open in browser" from the app's menu and try again in Safari or Chrome.
Safe to use
Your files are converted only on your own phone or computer. They are never sent over the internet, and nobody else can see them. It's completely free, with no login.
Using it together with a parent or another adult is a good idea too.
